Bryan Avila I wanted to say the same thing, the first song he performed.. I felt like he had some struggle reaching for the right notes during his previous live shows... but I was soooo impress with how crisp and fresh his vocal was.... I’m no vocal coach here but damn, Ruki definitely improved.
I honestly haven't really been following them after leech, but hearing them again after almost a decade I'm happy they are still going strong. Impressed with ruki singing all these screamo and maintaining his voice hitting the pitch better too. I'm so happy that I bought tickets for LA concert right now!
I love the end where Aoi finishes his speech with 泣いてねし! "I'm not crying!" and then Reita ended up crying too. :) This band has been in my life through all the ups and downs, they're the best in my opinion. This concert was simply perfect, it showed the roots of the band and the songs of their trajectory since the beginning of the band, and they all played the songs with a lot of feelings and energy, it was exciting
thats because ALL of their oldest songs had a lot of feeling and energy. they're better musicians than ever, but for me personally, the emotional quality of many of their early song has been unmatched ever since. really glad that this concert was recorded
You'd be amazed by just how much the human vocal cords are capable of. That's not to say there aren't any restrictions, of course. Ruki has quite the range of octaves. It's just years of practice and hard work.
Ruki made some smart decisions that definitely aided him. He stopped singing as many airy higher notes that strained his voice and heavily focused on his lower register which allows him to freely "float up" to those notes. Smart since he's definitely a baritone. Kamijo did a similar thing

Ruki’s voice improve soooooo much! So proud of him and of course the rest of the member for reaching this far into their music career. I’ve been with them since 2008 now and I’ve never been so proud to be apart of this journey with them along side with the fandom.
I became a fan of the GazettE exactly at that time in 2017, they were turning 15 years old despite knowing them since 2009. And now looking at them and imagining that they're already 20 years old, my heart is warm and grateful to life for having put these guys in my way :')

The first song that makes me fell into The GazettE world is 'Cassis'. It's one of the best Rock Ballad i've ever heard, alongside with their other 2 single Guren and PLEDGE. So i kinda sad when Ruki says Cassis is his failed song... But here they perform it beautifully with all their soul~ P.S : I watch other Cassis live performance and i always wondered if HERESY don't like Cassis . . . hahaha
To put Ruki's answer on old interview in a simple way. He feels like Cassis isn't the image that he wants to have on The GazettE. He wants something like dark and artistic in GazettE's songs.
Playing only songs from their beginning 2002-2005 era is sick concept. Never seen something like this from them in their modern era. You can find there the most heaviest ones, the happiest ones and also most controversial songs in terms of how they sounds 😃Great gig.
